The newest mission of the Defender of the Bond

Abstract

This article intends to demonstrate the great importance of the Defender of the Bond, after the changes in the Process Law, executed by pope Francis in 2015, concerning the declaration of the nullity of matrimony. The idea advocated in this study is that the Defender of the Bond became the key-personage in safeguarding the valid and consummated marriage against any kind of fragile or too benevolent or condescending judicial decisions.
